About the Role:

We are looking for a compassionate, reliable, and proactive female Community Mental Health Support Worker to support a young lady living with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) who lives in the S35 area of Sheffield. The successful applicants must have a UK Driving Licence & Own a Vehicle. (This post is exempt under the Equality Act 2010 – Schedule 9, Part 1. Female applicants only.)

This is a community-based role working on a 1:1 basis, involving long-day shifts on a consistent rota (including Saturdays and Sundays).

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the client’s mental wellbeing, independence, and daily living needs, i.e. personal care, mobility, medication administration and cooking.
  • Engaging in community activities, especially sports and social outings
  • Assisting with stoma care (full training provided)
  • Driving the client in her own vehicle to attend appointments, activities, or events
  • Building professional and respectful relationships with the client, her family, and external care professionals

About You:

  • You are empathetic, professional, punctual, and committed to providing high-quality care
  • You are able to form strong, professional boundaries while offering emotional and practical support
  • You hold a UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle for work
  • You are interested in developing or enhancing your skills in the care and mental health sector
  • You are willing to work weekends and follow a consistent shift pattern
