Role -  Farm Worker

Location - Gainsborough

Working hours - 44 hours over 6 days

Contract - Permanent position

Salary - £27,548 per annum

Our client, a family-run hatching company, is currently seeking experienced farm workers to join our team and ensure the highest welfare and production standards for our birds. As a farm worker, you will play a crucial role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the farm, including bird husbandry and maintaining biosecurity measures to protect our flock from harmful diseases.

Responsibilities include managing litter in poultry houses, preparing for chick arrivals, and keeping facilities tidy and well-maintained. Personal safety is paramount, and all employees are expected to adhere to safe working practices and wear appropriate protective gear.

Main Duties and Responsibilities of the Farm  Worker :

Supporting the farm team in the day to day running of the farm to produce chicken to the highest welfare and production standards

Ensure biosecurity measures are adhered to in order to help keep the birds free  from harmful diseases

Follow instructions and guidance given by the Farm Manager

Assist in managing the litter in the poultry houses ensuring the birds are kept on dry litter

Assisting in the preparation to receive chicks and also to prepare birds to be  caught when they are ready to leave the farm

Assisting in the keeping the poultry houses, control rooms and farm tidy and  well maintained

Observe and maintain safe working practices
