Join Our Team as a Family Worker ?Location: Stockton-on-Tees | Full-time, Temporary Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children, young people, and families?Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council is looking for Family Workers to join our dedicated Children & Families team.The RoleAs a Family Worker, you’ll provide both practical and emotional support to children and their families, helping to improve outcomes and build stronger, safer family environments. You’ll be working closely with social care colleagues, schools, and other professionals to ensure that every child’s voice is heard and their needs are at the heart of everything we do.What You’ll Do? Support children, young people, and families through direct work and interventions? Contribute to key meetings such as Child Protection Conferences and Care Reviews? Capture and represent the voice of the child in planning and decision-making? Keep accurate records using our case management system (Liquid Logic)? Work flexibly to meet the needs of families, including some evenings/weekends when requiredWhat We’re Looking For? Experience of working with children, young people, and families? Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with children and adults alike? Knowledge of child development and safeguarding practices? A childcare qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 3) or equivalent experience? A full driving licence and access to a carThe Details?? Based at Dunedin House, Stockton-on-Tees (with travel across the borough)?? 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday (some flexibility required)??
