Role OverviewTitle: Family Support Worker (Band F)Reporting to: Early Help Locality ManagerLocation: Locality-based Early Help & Family Engagement HubPurpose: To support children and families with complex needs, preventing escalation into statutory services by holding a caseload and effecting positive change.Pay Rate: £14.36 per hourContract Duration: 12-week temporary contract?? Key ResponsibilitiesManage caseloads independently, assess needs, and develop care/support plans.Act as a key worker, offering emotional, social, and practical support.Work in partnership with other agencies to deliver consistent care.Maintain accurate records using IT systems.Support families in various settings (home, school, community).Promote self-advocacy and informed decision-making.? Essential Skills & ExperienceStrong engagement skills with children and families.Understanding of Early Help Assessments and multi-agency working.Ability to manage workload and escalate issues appropriately.Experience in diverse settings and avoiding dependency.Knowledge of care planning, safeguarding, and health & safety.ICT proficiency and caseload management experience.? QualificationsRequired: NQF Level 3 or equivalent experience.DBS: Enhanced level required.Driving: Licence and access to a car preferred.?? Working ArrangementsMainly office hours with occasional evenings/weekends.No contractual overtime or standby rota.Must be flexible and able to travel across the borough.??
