Family Solicitor - G2 Legal Limited : Job Details

Job Title – Family SolicitorLocation: Southend-on-Sea 

This role comes with excellent long-term progression opportunities, with a clear route through to Head of Department and Partnership at this highly regarded firm in Essex.Current caseload in the Family Department is around 80% legal aid work and 20% private family matters.The Role:

As a Family Law Solicitor, you will handle a diverse caseload that may include:

• Care proceedings
• Private children law matters
• Domestic violence and protective orders
• Divorce and separation cases
• Financial remedy proceedings

You will also have the opportunity to work on more complex family law cases, such as child abduction, pre-marital agreements and cohabitation agreements.

The firm is uniquely placed in that its Solicitors act as Court Advocates, meaning you will manage your cases from start to finish, including representing clients at contested hearings and case management conferences. This allows for a truly seamless service and provides excellent advocacy experience.

About You:

• Strong experience in family law (ideally at least 4PQE)
• Excellent knowledge of care proceedings, private children matters and financial remedies
• The ability to conduct advocacy and represent clients at Court hearings
• Accreditation with the Law Society Children Panel or Advanced Family Panel (desirable, not essential)
• A client-focused approach, with strong communication andinterpersonal skills
