Family Solicitor (NQ) – Legal AidLocation: LondonSalary: Competitive, dependent on experienceJob Type: Full-time, PermanentA well-established law firm with a longstanding commitment to access to justice is looking to recruit a Newly Qualified Family Solicitor to join its respected family department.This is a great opportunity for a solicitor who is passionate about family law and wants to make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable clients. The role will focus on publicly funded work, with a strong emphasis on care proceedings and domestic abuse matters.The Role:

• Advising and representing clients in a range of legal aid family matters, including child protection, care proceedings, and private children disputes
• Working closely with experienced family solicitors and support staff
• Managing a caseload with appropriate supervision
• Attending court hearings, often at short notice
• Preparing legal documents and case bundles

Requirements:

• Recently qualified solicitor (0–1 PQE) with some experience in family law (through training contract or post-qualification)
• Genuine interest in legal aid and supporting vulnerable clients
• Excellent communication and client care skills
• A full driving licence is desirable but not essential
• Police station accreditation or interest in cross-practice experience is a bonus, though not required
