Facilities Coordinator - Temp - Southampton - £12.50Our client, based in Southampton is looking for a highly organised and proactive Facilities Coordinator to support the smooth running of the Southampton office. In this varied, hands-on role, you'll be the first point of contact for staff, visitors, and contractors, ensuring facilities and services meet the highest professional standards.You'll manage day-to-day operations - from coordinating maintenance and compliance checks to setting up meeting spaces, welcoming clients, and keeping everything stocked and ready. Working closely with the Facilities and Professional Services teams, you'll help create a safe, efficient, and welcoming environment that supports people and impresses the clients.Main Responsibilities:

  • Front of House support: Greet visitors, coordinate hospitality, and assist with travel and meeting arrangements.
  • Facilities coordination: Act as the on-site contact for contractors, maintenance, and compliance activities.
  • Space & event setup: Maintain room layouts, set up for meetings, and handle furniture moves when required.
  • Supplies & logistics: Manage office stock, process deliveries, and organise catering for meetings/events.
  • Office checks & upkeep: Ensure cleanliness, safety, and comfort across the workplace.
  • Health, safety & security: Act as first aid/fire marshal, manage access control, and support emergency procedures.

Key Skills:

  • Strong organisational skills and great attention to detail.
  • Friendly and professional communicator who works well with all kinds of people.
  • Proactive, adaptable, and comfortable handling multiple priorities.
  • Experience in facilities, office coordination, or a professional services environment (legal sector experience a plus).
  • Physically able to carry out manual handling tasks.
  • Understanding of Health & Safety best practices (training provided if needed).
