Job purpose
The Facilities Support Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations and maintenance of company facilities. This role ensures a safe, efficient, and well-maintained work environment for employees and visitors by coordinating building maintenance, contractor management, safety compliance, and support services.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily facility operations.
- Manage preventive and corrective maintenance schedules for building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.).
- Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and service providers for facility repairs, upgrades, and maintenance projects.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Monitor and manage facility budgets, contracts, and purchase orders.
- Implement and maintain facility policies, procedures, and standards.
- Lead facilities-related projects from planning to execution.
- Serve as primary point of contact for facility emergencies or critical systems failures.
- Supervise and develop support staff and maintenance personnel as applicable.
Qualifications, knowledge, and experience
- Experience managing vendors, contracts, and project timelines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and facilities management software (e.g., Service Channel).
- Strong understanding of building systems and maintenance practices.
