Export Customs Broker - Appoint Consulting ltd : Job Details

We’re on the lookout for a proactive and detail-oriented Export Customs Broker to join our client’s friendly and supportive team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading name in logistics and freight forwarding to play a key role in efficient and compliant export processes.

Hours:

• Monday to Wednesday: 09:00 – 17:00
• Thursday to Friday: 09:00 – 17:00 (until finish may be later if required)
• Plus on-call duties on a rota

Responsibilities:

• Preparing and submitting export customs declarations
• Checking and validating export paperwork
• Working closely with clients, carriers, and freight forwarders to ensure shipments remain compliant and on time
• Keeping accurate records in line with HMRC requirements
• Managing export customs clearances to keep shipments moving without delay
• Preparing and processing NCTS Transit T-Forms
• Supporting the team with general administration and problem-solving to keep operations running smoothly

Requirements:

• Port Health/Licences/ATA Carnets experience would be beneficial
• Knowledge of systems such as Destin8, CDS, NCTS, CNS, and Descartes
• A good problem solver and able to multitask
• Willingness to cross-train and grow skills in different areas of the department
