The Role:

Are you a hands-on Export Clerk looking to take the next step in your career? This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established freight forwarder operating in a specialised, fast-moving logistics sector.

You’ll be part of a highly skilled team coordinating complex international shipments across air, road, and sea. Every day will be different — this role offers variety, autonomy, and the chance to work on logistics solutions that demand accuracy, urgency, and world-class customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage international shipments end-to-end, including client billing (full training provided)
  • Coordinate with clients, overseas agents, and suppliers to schedule and manage cargo
  • Prepare all export documentation, including pre-alerts and post-flight updates
  • Provide accurate quotations and negotiate competitive freight rates
  • Complete customs entries using Sequoia
  • (Desirable) Handle ATA Carnets, SEIL, and OGEL licences – training provided
  • Communicate across platforms including Outlook and Slack
  • Support internal departments and escalate shipment concerns where necessary
  • Perform general admin and ad hoc operational duties

What We’re Looking For:

  • Previous experience in export freight forwarding
  • Familiarity with customs clearance processes (Sequoia preferred)
  • Interest in working across multiple modes of transport
  • Airfreight Dangerous Goods trained (advantageous but not essential)
  • Highly organised and detail-oriented
  • Clear, confident communication skills – verbal and written
  • Problem-solver with a proactive mindset
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Self-motivated and reliable team player
