Spencer Clarke Group are seeking an Executive Support Manager for a Local Authority Client in Southeast London.
In this role you will provide proactive, professional support, ensuring the Executive Director is organised, well-briefed, and able to focus on leading the Directorate and delivering its priorities.
Duties:
- Provide high-level executive support, including diary management, briefing, and preparation for meetings.
- Lead and manage two Executive Support Officers to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
- Build strong relationships across the Council to support decision-making and drive Directorate priorities.
- Oversee and improve processes, agendas, and follow-ups to ensure smooth and well-organised operations.
Qualifications and Experience:
The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience:
- Proven experience providing executive-level support in a complex organisation.
- Strong track record of managing and prioritising busy schedules and competing demands.
- Experience leading or line managing staff to deliver high-quality support services.
- Ability to synthesise complex information and communicate clearly with senior stakeholders.
What's on offer:
Salary: £31ph
*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*
Contract type: 5-6 months minimum, with a high likelihood of extension
Hours: Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week
