  • Pay: £18.07 per hour
  • Working Hours: 8:30am till 4pm

We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated Executive Assistant to join Manchester City Council's Executive Members Office, part of Legal Services. This role involves providing dedicated support to one of the Executive portfolio holders and covering for other PAs as required. If you have excellent communication skills and thrive in a busy, demanding environment, this position offers a fantastic opportunity to develop and demonstrate your professional capabilities.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Provide PA support including diary and email management, arranging meetings, and handling correspondence.
  • Progress casework on behalf of the Executive Member, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
  • Lead accountability for adopting best practices in business support activities, aiming for continuous improvement in performance and customer service standards.
  • Undertake service planning reviews aligned with business plan objectives, developing, implementing, and reviewing key business support processes and procedures.
  • Analyse feedback and performance data, developing recommendations for improvement that align with service priorities and objectives.
  • Monitor customer care performance against key performance indicators, produce reports, and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of management information systems, identifying areas for efficiency and added value.
  • Develop effective partnerships and work collaboratively across services to implement transformational changes and identify council-wide improvements.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Personal Assistant or similar role.
  • Excellent communication skills to deal confidently with various stakeholders including Councillors, Senior Officers, and members of the public.
  • Ability to prioritise workloads, meet tight deadlines, and maintain a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret feedback and performance data effectively.
  • Proficiency in managing electronic diaries, emails, and office management systems.
