Events Head of Sales £30,000 - £35,000

Based Stamford - Hybrid 2 x days in office

We are looking for a Head of Sales to help us take our venues to the next level.

To effectively deliver new licensee sales for individual and small group venues, and to prospect, qualify and deliver new venue finding business for the business, account manage small to medium sized new business accounts. Act as an champion at events both domestically and internationally when required. Attend events and promote the Business Community at every opportunity. Support the Commercial Director in achieving relevant commercial targets.

Key responsibilities

  • Build and maintain relationships with new venue and corporate clients to maximise all revenue streams.
  • Be commercially aware of the needs of the Venues and our partners.
  • Deliver sales the strategy and targets for new Venue Licence sales
  • Deliver sales the strategy and targets for new corporate business for our sister company
  • Where required support any business agency sales
  • Use effective account management techniques to support and grow new business clients being fulfilled by our business.
  • Plan site visits for new business clients and communicate effectively with the client and the internal team.
  • Attend meetings, venue educational, Industry events, events and trips where requested.
  • Support other business units in the company when required.
  • Contribute to the industry news update and social media posts to help increase awareness.
  • Sales opportunities are responded to within the SOP/SLA and the client is kept updated.
  • CRM systems are used in accordance with the company guidelines.
  • Understand and actively support the relationships with our commercial partners.
  • Attendance to the company half and full year meeting (may involve overnight stays)
  • Adhere to the company standards as outlined in the staff handbook and contract of employment .
  • Adhere to ISO procedures and processes.
  • Support the companies CSR objectives.

Key Skills

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft programme i.e., Word / Excel.
  • Good levels of written and spoken English.
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Good negotiation and relationship building skills.
  • Effective account management skills
  • Experience of hotel, events and meeting industry preferred.
  • Good level of geographical knowledge
  • Effective presentation skills
  • Effective closing skills

Key Performance Indicators

Financial Targets

  • Achieve and exceed the company confirmed revenue targets per revenue stream
  • New venue licence sales annual target 300 venues
  • New venue finding business (SME) 3 new producing clients per month
  • Account manage and grow existing new business clients drive 24% growth of previous years achieved revenue

Non-Financial Targets

  • Maintenance and contribution to the company culture and core values
  • 100% compliance of all SLAs and SOP
  • Achieve site visit target of 100 venues per year.
  • Identify potential leads for new business and assist in development of new clients.
  • Attend industry events.

Salary : 30000 - 35000
