Job Description :

We are seeking a number of experienced and highly motivated Estimators with a strong background in civil infrastructure to join a dedicated project team working on a key programme. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to one of the most high-profile infrastructure projects in the UK, providing essential estimating expertise throughout design, procurement, and delivery phases.Key Responsibilities* Prepare, develop, and manage cost estimates for complex civil infrastructure packages, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project objectives.* Support the development of baseline cost plans, value engineering exercises, and risk-adjusted estimates.* Collaborate closely with design teams, planners, engineers, and project managers to gather inputs and validate quantities, rates, and productivity factors.* Undertake detailed analysis of contractor and supplier pricing, and provide recommendations on value for money and procurement strategies.* Contribute to the preparation of tender documents and participate in bid evaluations.* Support cost benchmarking, market analysis, and escalation assessments specific to civil works.* Prepare clear and comprehensive estimating reports and presentations for client and stakeholder review.* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of construction methods, market trends, and innovations within civil infrastructure.* Ensure compliance with project controls, governance frameworks, and client requirements.Key Requirements* Degree qualified (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline.* Proven experience as an estimator in large-scale infrastructure projects, preferably within nuclear, energy, or major civil engineering sectors.* Strong understanding of civil engineering works including earthworks, reinforced concrete structures, marine works, roads, and drainage.* Proficiency in industry-standard estimating software and tools (e.g., CATO, CostX, Candy, or similar).* Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.* Demonstrated ability to work in a high-profile, fast-paced environment with strict governance and reporting requirements.* Chartered status or working towards chartership (RICS, CIOB, ICES, or equivalent) is desirable.* Opportunity to work on a nationally significant infrastructure project shaping the UK's future.* Collaborative and supportive environment with a focus on professional growth and development.* Competitive salary package and comprehensive benefits.* Flexible working arrangements to support work-life balance.
