Estimator - Focus Resourcing : Job Details

Role: Estimator Location: Rainham, KentSalary: £45,000 - £55,000Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 6am - 4pmWe are seeking an Estimator to join a busy and personable team. The Estimator will be responsible for overseeing all contractual, financial, and procurement aspects of construction projects.

Estimator Duties:

• Prepare and analyse project cost estimates, budgets, and cash flow forecasts
• Conduct feasibility studies and cost benefit analyses for potential projects
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to gather project information
• Evaluate contractor bids and negotiate contracts
• Monitor project progress and provide regular cost reports to stakeholders
• Identify potential cost-saving measures and recommend value engineering options
• Review and approve contractor payment applications
• Conduct site visits to assess progress and verify work completed

Estimator Experience required:

• Proven experience as an Estimating in the metalwork or associated construction industry
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations
• Proficient in cost estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent numerical and analytical skills
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
