Estimator Cradley Heath Circa £35-42k

Progressive Engineering and a Heavy Machinery OEM are looking to recruit an Estimator for their Engineering HQ near Cradley Heath, owing to significant business growth and project pipeline for 2024-2026+.

Reporting into the Sales Director, the Estimator will be responsible for:

• Managing the Part Cost Database.
• Manage Supplier Network
• Cost Check Project Estimates.
• Sales Team Liaison
• Spares Coordination.

Specifically, my client is looking for an Estimator with the following experience:

• HNC / HND / Degree in an Engineering / Science / Mathematics-Related Discipline
• Prior experience as an Mechanical Estimator / Engineering Estimator / Cost Engineer / Sales Estimator within an Engineering / Manufacturing / Production / Project-led Engineering Environment
• Good knowledge of Mechanical Engineering fundamentals
• Strong experience in estimating, generating & maintaining Cost Data Packages in Excel
• Strong Microsoft Office (Advanced Excel or Access) Skills
• Experience of CAD Software - AutoCAD or similar (for reading drawings only)
• Excellent Customer Facing & Service skills, including both written and verbal communication
• A 'can do' attitude and positive approach to challenges
• Team player
• Able to work well under pressure and to project deadlines and to be flexible where required
• Proactiveness

For the successful Estimator, a salary of circa £35-42k is on offer and this Estimator role is commutable from Birmingham, Kingswinford, Stourbridge, Dudley, Brierley Hill, Wolverhampton, Hagley, Kidderminster, Bridgnorth, Cradley Heath, Wombourne and Halesowen.
