Estimating Assistant - Grosvenor House Group Limited : Job Details

About The Role:

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Estimating Assistant to join our growing Estimating team. This role will support the administration of the commercial aspects of tenders and bid proposals, playing a vital role in contributing value to both the team and the wider company.

You’ll assist in the coordination of supply chain communications, tender documentation, and internal reporting to help ensure timely and accurate estimating processes. This is an ideal opportunity for someone seeking a long-term career path in commercial pre- or post-contract construction environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Compile and issue enquiries to subcontractors and suppliers
• Maintain and update the supply chain database
• Assist in preparing internal QA handover documentation
• Log incoming tenders and download tender documentation
• Issue and track subcontractor and supplier enquiries; save and organise quotations
• Update and maintain tender registers and internal tracking systems
• Follow up with the supply chain to ensure timely receipt of quotations
• Perform general administrative and support tasks for the Estimating team
• Liaise with the Estimating and Commercial teams to assist with tender adjudications

About You:

• Previous experience in a similar administrative or estimating support role
• Experience working in a construction-related environment
• A genuine interest in developing a career in commercial construction
• Full UK driving licence
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information
• Familiarity with take-offs and estimating processes
• Strong organisational and time management skills – able to meet deadlines consistently
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and remotely when required
• Self-motivated with a problem-solving mindset
• A team player who thrives in collaborative environments
