A well-established organisation, based in Greenford, is looking for an experienced HR / People Advisor to join its People function, supporting operational teams across multiple sites. This is a varied generalist role with a strong focus on employee relations, coaching managers, and supporting business change.
You'll be working closely with line managers to ensure HR practices are compliant, pragmatic, and aligned with employment law and internal policy. The role requires someone who is confident working in a fast-paced, operational environment and who can build credibility quickly across a range of stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:Advise and support managers through a range of ER matters including disciplinary, grievance, absence, performance, and long-term sickness.
Attend hearings in an advisory or note-taking capacity.
Coach and upskill line managers to strengthen capability and ensure consistent people management practices.
Provide guidance on employment law, contractual matters, working arrangements, and consultation processes.
Support the delivery of HR-related projects, organisational change initiatives, restructures, and TUPE activity.
Oversee and maintain the HRIS, producing dashboards and people data reports as required.
Support recruitment and onboarding processes, including participation in inductions.
Liaise with HR administration on employment documentation such as contracts, offer letters, changes to terms, leavers, and redundancy calculations.
Ensure GDPR compliance and effective handling of sensitive employee data.
Contribute to continuous improvement across the People function and support with wider HR/training initiatives as required.
Proven experience in a similar HR Advisor / People Advisor role, with a strong focus on employee relations.
Confident working with managers at all levels, providing both support and challenge where needed.
Up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law and its practical application.
Comfortable working across multiple locations with occasional travel (must be a driver with a full UK licence).
