We’re exclusively partnered with a hedge fund seeking an Equity Research Analyst to join their investment team. This is a high-impact role for an intellectually curious and commercially minded individual who can take ownership of research from idea to execution, in close collaboration with the Portfolio Manager and Head of Research.

The Opportunity:

You’ll focus on understanding the key drivers of businesses and how those are likely to evolve over time—specifically over a 6-month to 3-year horizon. The role involves forward-looking, creative analysis and thoughtful forecasting, rather than detailed 3-statement financial modelling.

• Take full ownership of research projects, proposing a path forward and collaborating to refine it
• Analyse the core earnings drivers of a business and how those might change under different scenarios
• Build simple, effective earnings models to reduce uncertainty around key assumptions
• Iterate on views as new information becomes available—updating forecasts whether or not they support the original thesis
• Think creatively and logically about how the future is likely to unfold, and translate that into clear, investable insights

What We’re Looking For:

• 2–6 years’ experience in equity research
• Ability to work independently and think through problems logically—bringing proposed solutions, not just questions
• A commercial mindset and interest in how businesses work, not just financial statements
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to research and decision-making
