Enclosure Assembly Technician – Mechanical Build & FittingA respected machinery manufacturer based in Essex is seeking an enclosure assembly technician to join their growing production team. Operating from a modern headquarters and engineering facility, the company specialises in the design and assembly of automated filling and packaging lines, serving the pharmaceutical and cosmetics industries globally.This is a hands-on, workshop-based role ideal for someone with solid mechanical assembly and machining experience, good attention to detail, and a proactive approach to quality and teamwork.Key responsibilities
- Prepare and machine base materials for enclosure assemblies
- Fit locks, frames, and panels to machinery lines and equipment
- Carry out mechanical fitting and fault finding during assembly
- Disassemble completed machinery and prepare equipment for transport to site
- Support small-scale pneumatic assemblies where required
- Assist with machinery installation, commissioning, and service at customer sites
- Follow detailed assembly drawings to ensure high-quality workmanship
- Handle materials with care, particularly during repetitive or high-precision tasks
Essential requirements
- Practical engineering or mechanical assembly experience
- Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings accurately
- Strong attention to detail and pride in delivering high-quality work
- Good problem-solving skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Awareness of health and safety best practices in a workshop environment
- Recognised engineering qualification or apprenticeship
