EPOS Field Engineer Milton Keynes - OJC IT LTD : Job Details

Job Overview

We are on the lookout for field engineers to join our team for a very busy period across multiple contracts starting in June.

Experience in EPOS / IT world ideal, although we will consider those with the right attitude and transferrable skills and experience.

The work is field based in retail stores, lots of travel generally - although we will try and keep you as close to home as possible.

We carry out everything from Surveys to new kit installs. WIFI, Payment terminals, Self Service Checkouts, Printers, Desktop PC’s etc.

Commitment

Initially 1 month commitment to at least 5 shifts a week, then this will roll on with a 1 week notice period. Shifts can be daytime and night time.

Although of course keeping in account any suitable time off between changes of pattern as and when required.

Many of our team started on a similar basis and are still with us years on and on longer-term contracts or moved into different areas of the business, so there is opportunity here for those who perform well and get on with the team.

Rates

If PAYE employee, the rate is £105 + own car allowance of £20 per shift to a max of 5 per week, (£100) or hire vans are available although limited.

This example is on PAYE (inc pension accrual/ holiday accrual etc) 8-hour shifts + reasonable travel (1 hour each side)

If LTD Company, the rate is £115 + £20 per shift / day car allowance max 5 per week (£100) or hire vans are available, although limited. 8-hour shifts + reasonable travel (1 hour each side)

Benefits

Opportunity to have various courses paid for such as asbestos / CSCS.

• Being a current CSCS card holder is ideal

Skills- Proficiency in maintaining and repairing computer hardware- Ability to perform computer repair tasks efficiently- Familiarity with interpreting schematics and technical manuals- Proficient in using hand tools for repairs- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot technical issues- Knowledge of computer networking principles- Experience in equipment repair and maintenance

Other Notes

• Please note, anything over 10 hours including travel, is paid as Overtime.
• In addition to the shift rates, we offer an incentive scheme based on paperwork / timings etc being completed on time and too a required standard which can further increase your income.
• You must be happy with potentially staying away from home - of course hotels are paid for and a food allowance provided.
