Environmental Health Officer

On behalf of our client, we are seeking an experienced Environmental Health Officer / Enforcement Officer to join their Food and Health & Safety Team. This role offers flexible and remote working and an opportunity to manage a varied caseload within health and safety enforcement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Undertake health and safety enforcement within the Food and Health & Safety Team.
• Manage a caseload of proactive and reactive work.
• Investigate health and safety complaints and RIDDOR notifications.
• Take appropriate enforcement action in line with legislation and policy.
• Provide professional advice and support to businesses, stakeholders, and colleagues.

Essential Requirements:

• Professional qualification to undertake health and safety interventions (e.g. Diploma/BSc/MSc in Environmental Health, NEBOSH).
• Registered with the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH).
• Current experience in health and safety enforcement.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of health and safety legislation.
• Proven experience investigating complaints, RIDDOR notifications, and carrying out enforcement action.

Role Details:

• 36 hours per week.
• Flexible and remote working available.
