Reed Education Southampton are currently seeking a passionate and committed English Teacher to fulfil a full time, permanent role within a large Secondary school based in North Hampshire.

As the English Teacher, you must be an excellent classroom practitioner with student learning and engagement at the core of your principles. You will also be able to inspire and enthuse our young people in their knowledge, understanding and enjoyment of the English curriculum. Within the schools last Ofsted report, they mention that ‘English is a particular strength. Staff know their subjects well. They plan activities that build on what pupils have been taught before and check carefully that important knowledge has been remembered. Pupils take pride in their work, and many work studiously in class and on home learning projects.’

This post could be suitable for an ECT or a more experienced colleague with a start date of September 2024 (or sooner if available).

For this role, you will be/will need:- Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent, with specialism in a relevant subject- Good subject knowledge and ability to teach KS3/4 pupils effectively- Good behaviour management and ability to engage pupils within lesson delivery- Good communication and ability to adapt- Right to work in the UK 

The salary for this role is currently set at £30,000 to £43,565 per annum (based on the Teacher Pay Scale) and is a full time, permanent position.
