Tradewind is currently working with a well-regarded secondary school in Daventry seeking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic English Teacher for a full-time, long-term position starting in September 2025. For the right candidate, there is a strong possibility of the role becoming permanent.

• Deliver engaging and high-quality English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4

• Teach both English Language and English Literature, adapting resources to meet student needs

• Support student progress through effective planning, assessment, and feedback

• Work collaboratively with the English department on curriculum development and literacy initiatives

• Contribute to a positive learning environment that promotes reading for pleasure, critical thinking, and strong communication skills

• A qualified English teacher (QTS/QTLS or equivalent)

• Strong subject knowledge and a passion for teaching literature and language

• A reflective and committed classroom practitioner, focused on pupil progress

• Ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively and support learners of all abilities

• A team player with strong communication skills and a commitment to school values
