Reed Education is seeking a dynamic and dedicated English Teacher to join a supportive school in South Cumbria. The role starts September and is on a long-term basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of the English curriculum and a passion for creating an engaging learning environment.

• Delivering English lessons to KS3 and KS4 students, with KS5 being advantageous.
• Preparing lesson plans, materials, and activities that cater to the needs of all students.
• Assessing and recording students’ progress and providing feedback.
• Maintaining classroom discipline and fostering a positive learning environment.
• Collaborating with colleagues to share best practices and participate in continuous professional development.
• Being a role model to students by exhibiting qualities of compassion, trustworthiness, and good listening skills.

• Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Recent relevant experience teaching English at KS3 and KS4, with KS5 experience being an advantage.
• Excellent classroom practitioner with strong subject knowledge and classroom management skills.
• Reliable, committed, and interested in contributing positively to the students’ education.
• Good interpersonal skills, punctuality, patience, and confidence when working with children.
