Engineering Workshop Supervisor - Adecco : Job Details

Job Title: Workshop SupervisorWorking Hours: 7am - 3:30pm Monday - Friday

Our client is a technology driven and specialist industrial services provider offering a range of engineering solutions and technical services to a wide variety of industries across the globe. Their Greenford site is seeking a Workshop Supervisor.

On a daily basis the Workshop Supervisor will be supporting a team of engineers in carrying out the tasks required on the machines provided. In addition to this, in the absence of the manager they will be expected to step up. You will be joining a established team and therefore will require to be a confident team member.

Main duties & responsibilities:

• Ensure the adoption of workshop "best practice" and that workshop procedures are followed.
• Responsible for the efficient control of the WIP and progress of individual jobs, from start to completion
• Stand in for the Engineering Manager in his absence.
• Identify new opportunities for the development of services.
• Ensure the implementation of systems and process improvements.
• Ensure the quality and integrity of individual jobs.
• Ensure the compliance to quality standards and systems.
• Control safe working practices to Health, Safety and Environmental legislation.
• Ensure the security of all plant and equipment.

Essential skills / experience / qualifications:

• Hands on engineering workshop experience, ideally in winding/re-winding coils, both AC & DC
• Supervisory background preferred
• Team work & positive can do attitude
• Possessing a H&S qualification such as IOSH is desirable
• Knowledge of stores is essential
