Engineering Team Leader - Elevation Recruitment Group : Job Details

Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to be working in partnership with a Rotherham-based food manufacturer to recruit an Engineering Team Leader.

Salary - £50,000

This is a hands-on Engineering Team Leader role, leading a team of 4 engineers the role would suit someone who is able to work on their own initiative with a can-do, enthusiastic, first-time fix attitude.

Duties of the Engineering Team Leader include:

• Carry out planned maintenance and inspections on the plant
• Attend breakdowns on production equipment and related plant
• During plant shutdown undertake overhaul and reconditioning of plant generated through the preventative maintenance process
• Adopt a proactive approach to improving plant and equipment reliability through project/development / objectives.
• Assign work, plan maintenance issues, react to current situations, and ensure planned maintenance and work orders are efficiently carried out
• Frequently line walk by yourself and your team to proactively detect potential problems and recommend the necessary repair or maintenance
• Work closely with Operations on priority, improvements, and coordination of activities
• Help with the development of maintenance procedures and proactive maintenance programs like preventative maintenance
• Ensure plant downtime is kept to a minimum to maximise production efficiency and effectiveness
• Recommend upgrades, overhauls, and other changes to major systems and equipment.

We would be keen to speak with Engineering Team Leader with the following experience: 

• Recognised engineering qualifications, appropriate for the role.
• Mechanically/ Electrically biased 
• FMCG experience 
• Previous experience of managing a team and leading others
• Experience working in occupied premises
• Enthusiastic approach and self-motivation. Identifies opportunities for improvement without guidance
