About the Role

We are currently recruiting for an Engineering Manager to join us at our Blunham site. In this role you will be accountable for the management, motivation and development of the site Engineering Department. Reporting to the General Manager and a key member of the site leadership team, the role takes full responsibility for the Engineering function of all equipment at site.

You will be responsible for leading and developing the engineering maintenance team in the delivery of all business objectives, managing assets through their full life-cycle supporting performance, risk management and total cost of ownership. You will focus on the development and execution of a sustainable preventative maintenance programme to ensure all statutory equipment is maintained in compliance with the appropriate legislative authority requirements.

The focus is to deliver world-class Service in a fast-paced environment to delight the customer and grow our business. To continually develop an environment that promotes constructive involvement and engagement for the Engineering team. The engineering team is key to the success and continued improvement of site operations.

About You

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in engineering managerial positions with demonstrated competencies in leadership and organisational management.
  • Experience and competent in the development, management and reporting of revenue and capital budgeting.
  • Knowledge of a manufacturing environment and continuous improvement tools and techniques.
  • Working knowledge of SAP systems, IT literate with competent skills in Microsoft office-based software.
  • Ability to demonstrate how our corporate values will be applied in the workplace: Caring, Challenging, Trusted, Responsive and Tenacious.
  • Ability to make decisions in a time pressured environment with a proven track record of performing at a high level in a fast-paced customer service and commercial environment.
  • Experience of leading a team/people management, pro-active approach to change management
