Engineer - National Express : Job Details

Join us on the journey..  We have an exciting opportunity for PCV/HGV mechanics to join the National Express Transport Solutions engineering team at our Worthing depot. You will provide engineering support for our fleet of Network and Private Hire vehicles based at Spencer Road Depot in Lancing. This role is overnight support for running defects, preventative checks, partial inspections, audit form action rectification and potential vehicle breakdowns. Monday to Friday Midnight to 0600hrs 30 hours per week What you'll do...To carry out the following tasks below on the required or relevant vehicles in your depot and to any new vehicles your depot may acquire.Assess and rectify reported defects in a timely and effective manner.Diagnose faults using specialist equipment relevant to vehicles in your depot.Carry out partial vehicle inspections and checks to minimize vehicle lost mileage.Repair and maintain vehicles to a standard exceeding the DVSA minimum.Document all work carried out as per mandatory requirements.Demonstrate flexibility in line with operational requirements.Work safely and adhere to all health and safety policies and processes.Willingness to redeploy to other sites on temporary basis, sickness cover etcMonitor and rectify any actions arising from National Express AuditsAttend Roadside Breakdowns as required What you will need...NVQ level 3 or equivalent.
