Engineer - Classic & Custom Vehicle Builds

Full Time | Permanent

We’re supporting a specialist workshop known for producing high-end custom and fully restored vehicles, and they’re looking to add a skilled Automotive Engineer / Vehicle Technician to the team. The right person will be hands-on, methodical, and take real pride in quality craftsmanship.

Key Responsibilities:

• Engine, gearbox, and drivetrain installation (petrol and diesel builds)

• Full chassis-up rebuilds including suspension, braking, steering, and fuel systems

• MIG welding and chassis fabrication (TIG welding preferred for finer work)

• Installation of lighting, electrical accessories, infotainment, and power systems

• Wiring loom creation, routing, and basic fault-finding on upgraded electrics

• Body panel alignment, custom trim fitting, and interior fit-out

• Working from build specs, diagrams, and workshop checklists to a high standard

What You’ll Need:

• Strong background in vehicle restoration, custom builds, or mechanical rebuilds

• Confident MIG welder/fabricator with solid chassis and framework experience

• Good automotive electrical knowledge, including fitting modern features

• Ability to read technical diagrams, wiring schematics, and fabrication instructions

• Excellent attention to detail and pride in high-quality finish

• Clean, structured, and self-sufficient approach to complex vehicle projects

• Comfortable working solo or as part of a tight-knit, highly skilled team
