Job Title: Enforcement Officer (Temporary)Location: Ealing, LondonContract Length: 3 months (possible extension)Hourly Rate: £21.33 per hour PAYE or £28.26 per hour UmbrellaWorking Pattern: Full Time - site visits Basic DBS Required

Purpose of the Role:As an integral part of our area-based team, you will carry out enforcement duties related to refuse collection, fly-tipping, street trading, and more. Your efforts will ensure that the Council meets its statutory obligations while enhancing the local environment for all residents.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and monitor enforcement strategies that integrate public concerns.
• Lead legal processes for street scene enforcement and coach colleagues.
• Interface with Legal Services and other departments for a coordinated approach.
• Coordinate enforcement activities with Environmental Health and other agencies.
• Perform inspections related to street cleansing, litter, dog fouling, and more.
• Prepare accurate reports, serve summonses, and attend court as needed.
• Engage with the community to address local issues and enhance service delivery.

What You'll Need:

• A working knowledge of the Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984.
• Familiarity with court procedures and the ability to give evidence.
• Understanding of the Environmental Protection Act, Highways Act, and other relevant legislation.
• Strong communication skills to liaise with stakeholders and the public effectively.
• Proficient in IT systems with a willingness to adapt to new technologies.
• Experience in contract management or enforcement is desirable.
