Employment / Immigration Legal Counsel - LHH Recruitment Solutions : Job Details

We are delighted to be supporting a leading scientific organisation based in the West Midlands as they look to expand their in-house legal function.

The Role:

Working within a small legal team, the successful Employment / Immigration Legal Counsel will work closely with the Head of Legal to provide comprehensive legal support on employment and immigration matters, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations and advising on best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Providing expert legal advice on immigration matters to include: visas, work permits, residency and citizenship.
• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating employment contracts, policies and procedures.
• Staying up to day on changes in employment and immigration law and advising the business on potential impacts.
• Collaborating with HR and other departments to support company initiatives and objectives.
• Develop and implement strategies to ensure compliance with all employment and immigration regulations.
• Managing relationships with firms as needed.

Experience:

• Qualified UK Solicitor.
• Strong knowledge of both employment and immigration law.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organisation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
