Employee Relations Manager opportunity available on a 15 month fixed term contract basis to start as soon as possible.

Contract Type: To start immediately for a 15-Month Fixed Term (until approx. January 2027)

As the Employee Relations Manager, you’ll be at the heart of this mission—leading a proactive, high-performing ER team and shaping the future of their workplace culture.

The Role:

•             Lead a small team of ER specialists to ensure that excellent ER case management support is delivered across the organisation.

•             Leading the rollout of the Employment Rights Bill, ensuring their policies and procedures evolve with new legislation.

•             Driving a cultural shift towards early intervention and positive resolution, reducing formal processes.

•             Coaching and empowering managers to handle ER matters confidently and effectively.

•             Collaborating across teams to deliver impactful ER training, guidance, and support.

•             Managing complex and high-risk ER cases, including tribunal preparation and strategic advice.

•             Supporting organisational change projects including restructures, redundancies, and TUPE.

•             To develop all of our ER policies and ensure they are legally compliant, forward-thinking, and aligned with best practice and strategic objectives.

•             To report on case volumes, case status and trends via various reports and update People &OD Business Partners on cases within their regions.

 About You:

You’re a confident, knowledgeable ER professional who’s passionate about people and process. You bring:

•             A degree or equivalent qualification (CIPD Level 7 or working towards).

•             Proven experience leading an ER team and managing complex casework.

•             Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practice.

•             A pragmatic, solutions-focused approach to risk and resolution.

•             Experience in policy development, change management, complex case management and tribunal preparation.

•             Experience of line managing team members, their performance and development.
