We are looking for an Employee Relations Advisor to join our People Hub team in Stockton on Tees!

As an Employee Relations Advisor, you will play a crucial role in leading people change activity. You will advise and coach on how best to manage ER situations. Using your expertise to provide a seamless service to the business and our customers.

This is a hybrid role with 3 days per week from our Stockton on Tees office.

What you'll be doing:

  • Lead on providing expert employee relations support on organisational change including restructures, re-organisations, and redundancies.
  • Support collective and individual consultations and delivery of the people plan to support the transformation
  • Coach managers and HR on appropriate channels for managing change, applying legislation knowledge and commercial considerations is equal balance.
  • Empower line managers through one-on-one coaching and the delivery of training sessions and workshops to enhance their ER skills and knowledge across the organisation
  • Take the lead in handling ACAS conciliation and Employment Tribunal (ET) claims
  • Manage ER cases, ensuring timely and effective resolution of cases

What you’ll bring:

  • A background in HR with a solid focus on employee relations
  • Strong ER experience in a large, complex organisation across a range of case types
  • Excellent working knowledge of relevant employment legislation and the ability to apply this to situations in the workplace
  • Ability to prioritise workloads and work to strict deadlines
  • Excellent judgement and decision making skills
  • Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to quickly build strong working relationships with internal customers and external stakeholders
