Job Description :

Based in London, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced events specialist to join a leading law firm to manage all internal and externally facing events from development and planning through to the event’s conclusion.

The firm’s Events team is responsible for the development, production and execution of a broad range of live and virtual client events, including conferences, webinars, client entertainment and hospitality events. The team also assists with the coordination of large internal practice group and partner meetings and retreats. The Senior EMEA Events Specialist will serve as an integral part of the Global Business development team, working with Business Development Practice Group support teams in the development and planning of these events and will also liaise with Business Development colleagues and with the Operation Manager across the firm’s EMEA offices to support the implementation of best event practices, to streamline processes and to create effective communication chains. Staying current on industry trends, venues, restaurants, food trends, entertainment and event technology, you will work on a collaborative basis with relevant internal departments to drive 360-degree strategy across events. The successful applicant will coordinate substantive and social client event programs and hospitality and will assist with the coordination and management of the global business development event calendar. The role holder will be responsible for managing events from initial concept through to its conclusion. This will include establishing and managing project timelines, venue selection, contract negotiations, RSVP list management, managing the creation of event collateral such as invitations and signage, speaker procurement and coordination, catering, design, audio and visual needs, budget management and reconciliation and preparing post event debriefs. Establishing and cultivating relationships with vendors and industry professionals to ensure the firm receives the highest level of service will also represent an important aspect of the role.

The ideal candidate will be a bright graduate or equivalent with extensive strategic events experience gained whilst working in a professional services firm. An in-depth knowledge of the events landscape in London, and ideally across the EMEA, will be essential, whilst fluency in another European language will be advantageous. In addition, the Senior EMEA Events Specialist will be a team player with superior client service skills and attention to detail and strong interpersonal skills.
