EMEA Facultative Reinsurance Broker

Responsible for all activities related to successfully transact a reinsurance placement. This is a hybrid position with a mix of London office and home working.

What the day will look like

• Working with colleagues and reinsurers on a variety of facultative reinsurance: casualty, financial lines,and specialty business
• Work on and provide support in collection and analysis of data necessary for the preparation of market submissions, presentations and broking strategy
• Analyse client submission to release to market identifying key changes and market developments.
• Produce client submission from raw data, for both internal and external market exhibits.
• Raise queries with the client team based on review of submission information
• Assist with client renewal meetings and reports where appropriate
• Support implementation of client plans and client growth objectives
• Negotiating terms and conditions of placement with the market
• Resolution of queries received from clients and reinsurers – liaising with colleagues within other departments and local offices as necessary
• Track placement progress and share information with all stakeholder on follow ups where appropriate
• Ensure all documentation is completed in a timely manner to ensure all contractual documentation is complete, correct and on file
• Responsible for working in accordance with the Aon UK Limited Risk Management Framework, and compliance with the Aon UK Limited policies, including participation in the management of risks (including completion of mandatory training) that may adversely affect the business, interests, or reputation of any Group Company.

Identifying appropriate channels for risk placement based on clients’ market security guidelines and other requirements, exerting influence on the market in order to secure the best deals Proactively managing the renewal process including essential administration required to successfully transact a reinsurance placement

Play an active role in marketing and placement, handling queries and providing regular client updatesHandling and advising on client requests throughout the life of a placementResearching the overall market environment and collate documentation for market conferences and update wider team on market developments

Skills and experience that will lead to success

• Technical (re)insurance knowledge
• Excellent attention to detail
• Have a strong background in broking
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Have strong industry networking skills and knowledge
• Have excellent sales and marketing skills
• Proven data analysis abilities
• Ability to work in an environment where deadlines must be adhered to
• Proficiency in Microrsoft Office products such as Word , Excel and Power Point.
• Fluent in Italian
