Job Title: Electrical TechnicianSalary: Competitive, based on experienceJob Type: Full-time, PermanentLocation: Kidderminster, Worcestershire Company OverviewAn established industrial site located near Kidderminster is seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Electrical Technician to support ongoing operations at a modern energy and waste processing facility. The role offers the opportunity to join a highly competent maintenance team, contributing to the performance and reliability of key infrastructure in a technically complex environment. Role OverviewThe Electrical Technician will be responsible for:
- Installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and equipment.
- Ensuring the safe and efficient operation of all electrical assets on site.
- Responding to and resolving electrical faults and plant breakdowns in a timely and professional manner.
- Supporting the planning and delivery of both routine and shutdown maintenance activities.
- Carrying out inspections, calibrations, and updating records using the site's maintenance management system.
- Assisting in the coordination and supervision of contractors performing electrical work.
- Maintaining safe working practices and complying with all relevant procedures and policies.
- Participating in technical training and supporting wider maintenance and site teams where needed.
Required Skills & Experience
- Recognised electrical qualification with practical experience in an industrial environment.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems within power generation, process, or similar sectors.
- Good understanding of health and safety regulations and electrical best practices.
- Ability to work independently, solve problems, and make sound technical decisions.
- Comfortable using CMMS software and maintaining accurate maintenance records.
- Full UK driving licence preferred.
Desirable Attributes
- Experience working in an energy, utilities, or heavy industrial plant environment.
- Familiarity with High Voltage (HV) systems and safety protocols.
- Confident supervising external contractors and liaising with third-party service providers.
- Proactive team player with a flexible and adaptable approach to work.
