Electrical Project Engineer - DCS Recruitment : Job Details

DCS have several opportunities for both Electrical and Mechanical Project Engineers to join our team.

As a Project Engineer, you will professionally oversee and manage the day-to-day management of projects, ensuring they delivered on time, to budget, and exceed the expectation of the Client. The projects range in value and are based in the Hayes area. The role will be predominately site based, with some travel to Head Office required.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

· Lead team meetings to engage, motivate, and improve performance.

· Report aspects of the project to Clients, Directors, and any other relevant stakeholder.

· Liaise with Technical Services to ensure the delivery of Design / Working Drawings capture any additional cost, programme delay, or external influence that may affect production.

· Delegate activities within the Project Team, while still managing to build strong working relationships.

· Management of the Procurement Process.

· Promote and drive health and safety.

· Manage installation and commissioning activities.

· Handover documentation.

· Managing and controlling sub-contractors.

· Cost control, while liaising with project surveyor to produce monthly PFR reports.

· Quality control.

· Risk control (programme and commercial).

Knowledge & Experience

· Previous Project Engineering experience

· Demonstrable experience carrying packages from Technical Submittal to Commissioning stages.

· Must have Data Centre experience.

· Be prepared to work on site 5 days a week.

Qualifications

· GCSE or equivalent in English Language and Mathematics.

· HNC / HND or a B Tech in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

· CSCS card holder.

· Proficient user of Microsoft Office (desirable).

· Circa 5 years of project engineering experience (desirable).

· Use of ASTA for programming (desirable).
