Electrical Maintenance EngineerLocation: BarnsleySalary: £46,200Shifts: Days and Afters, Monday to FridayIndustry: Manufacturing

Key Responsibilities:

• Conducting proactive maintenance, with a strong focus on both PPM and reactive work

• Responding to breakdowns and ensuring minimal downtime

• Working closely with the CI team to support site improvement initiatives

• Completing daily maintenance tasks, usually paired with another electrical engineer

• Fault finding and diagnostics on PLC-controlled systems

• Supporting the overall reliability and functionality of control systems and plant machinery

Requirements:

• Level 3 qualification or above in Electrical Engineering (City & Guilds or NVQ)

• HNC or HND beneficial but not essential

• Strong electrical bias with a multi-skilled mindset

• Manufacturing background required

• Experience with CNC or woodworking machinery is ideal

• PLC experience preferred (fault finding)

• Able to work in a team and independently

• Strong communication skills essential
