Electrical Maintenance Engineer - Critical Environment??

Hays is working with a leading facilities management provider to recruit an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer for a critical site in Coventry. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a high-performing team supporting essential infrastructure in a fast-paced, technically demanding environment.Role Overview

• You'll be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and fault rectification of plant and equipment across the site. This includes:
• Responding to breakdowns within SLA timeframes
• Working with UPS, CPS, power distribution, cooling systems, and other critical infrastructure
• Supporting emergency response and call-out protocols
• Escalating urgent issues to the Technical Services Manager
• Maintaining accurate engineering documentation and compliance records
• Conducting site surveys and producing method statements and risk assessments

Essential Skills & Qualifications

• 17th/18th Edition Qualified
• Experience in Facilities Management (FM)
• Strong understanding of CDM regulations
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Proven ability to manage tasks and materials independently
• Familiarity with H&S procedures including COSHH, Working at Heights (ipaf. pasma)
• Risk Assessment - IOSH and/or NEBOSH qualified - or CSCS
• Skilled in testing and inspecting electrical systems - JIB gold card, 2391 equivalent
• Knowledge of emergency response and environmental monitoring protocol
• Desirable
• Experience in data centre or critical environment operations
