Electrical & Electronic Engineer - KTP Associate
Location: East Kilbride
Salary: Up to £45k plus a £5000 personal development budget
Full time: 37.5 hours per week
Fixed Term: 30 Months fixed term contract with potential for downstream employment with the business, subject to performance.
THE POST - KTP Associate - Electrical & Electronic Engineer
The objective of this role is to develop and commercialise an innovative Intelligent Asset Management (IAM) platform that will transform the delivery and performance of electrical and telecommunications infrastructure services. The project aims to establish a fully integrated IoT-based ecosystem that incorporates sensors, embedded systems, secure communications, cybersecurity, and AI-driven diagnostics and prognostics. Initially, the focus will be on managing the UK's 20,000 km of signalling power cables (SPCs) in the rail sector. The platform will utilise machine learning and time-series analysis to provide predictive fault detection, enhance safety, reduce maintenance costs, and minimise downtime. By leveraging Forte Engineering’s Tier 1 supplier status and strong support from Network Rail, the project addresses significant infrastructure challenges through advanced data-driven technologies.
