Electrical Design Engineer

• Annual Salary: £50,000-£55,000

Exciting opportunity for an Electrical Design, Service and Commissioning Engineer within our client’s Service/Engineering Department. This role is integral to the development of their organisation, focusing on maintaining and enhancing current business performance.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Conduct onsite service work, including commissioning, installation, service, repair, and updates of all equipment manufactured and supplied by the company.
• Provide service support and manufacturing support, particularly in machine commissioning.
• Engage in engineering design for current products and new product developments, both hardware and software.
• Identify and implement design improvements to enhance functionality and efficiency.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• HNC/HND/degree in electrical/electronic engineering
• Several years of experience in control systems hardware and software design, commissioning, and support, preferably in a machine-building environment.
• Proficiency with PLC's
• Knowledge of current safety and EMC legislation relating to electrical control systems.
• Willingness and ability to travel internationally when required.
• Experience in CODESYS programming is desirable.
• Familiarity with CE requirements and safety of machinery standards (BSEN60204/13849/62061) is advantageous.
• Proficient in using CAD packages to produce schematic diagrams, control panel layouts, assembly diagrams, and terminal layouts.
