Due to an increase in workload and to continue the improvement of HSE standards, a manufacturer of complex, high-precision parts are looking to recruit an HSE Advisor to join a forward-thinking organisation based near Eastham on the Wirral. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about ensuring the well-being of employees, maintaining high standards of safety, and driving environmental improvements across the site. The position offers a competitive salary between £45,000 and £50,000 per annum, along with an impressive suite of benefits designed to support your personal and professional growth. You will be joining a supportive team that values collaboration, inclusivity, and continuous improvement. With flexible working opportunities, generous pension contributions, and a comprehensive well-being programme, this is your chance to make a real difference while enjoying excellent rewards.
What you'll do:
As HSE Advisor, you'll play a pivotal role in safeguarding the well-being of employees while promoting best practices in environmental management. Your daily responsibilities will include ensuring regulatory compliance across all aspects of health and safety legislation relevant to the facility. You will be instrumental in maintaining up-to-date policies aligned with ISO 14001 and 45001. By conducting comprehensive risk assessments and leading committee meetings focused on health, safety, and environmental matters, you'll foster a culture of shared responsibility. Your expertise will also be called upon to manage training schedules for emergency responders on site as well as oversee routine procedural tests like fire drills or disaster recovery checks. In addition to these core duties, you will champion sustainability initiatives by identifying areas for improvement in waste management processes. Supporting both internal audits and external accreditations forms another key aspect of your role, ensuring that all findings are addressed efficiently. Supervising contractors safely during their time on site further highlights your commitment to creating a secure workplace for everyone involved.
What you bring:
To be considered for this position, you'll need proven experience from similar roles where you have demonstrated your knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as COSHH alongside practical skills in risk assessment. Your background may include holding recognised qualifications like IOSH or NEBOSH which underpin your technical expertise. Experience managing internal audits, coupled with familiarity around ISO standards, will enable you to maintain rigorous compliance across quality assurance processes. Your interpersonal abilities are equally important; clear communication allows you to share information effectively whether chairing committee meetings or liaising with contractors on site. A keen eye for detail helps you identify opportunities for sustainability improvements while supporting broader facility management objectives such as security protocols or space planning initiatives. Ultimately it is your collaborative spirit combined with technical know-how that will see you thrive within this inclusive team environment.
