EDM Machinist - Elevation Recruitment Group : Job Details

Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a well-established manufacturer to recruit a EDM Operator. This is a permanent, full-time role with structured training and the opportunity to increase earnings once training is completed.

Salary and Benefits

• £17.80 per hour (inclusive of shift premium), increasing following full training
• 37-hour contract on a 3-shift rotation (mornings, afternoons, nights)
• Overtime available at enhanced rates
• 26 days holiday plus bank holidays (rising with service)

The RoleAs EDM Machinist, you will be responsible for operating and supporting EDM machines to produce components to exacting standards. Duties include:

• Operating EDM machines in line with method specifications and quality standards
• Developing setting skills to carry out machine set-ups
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
• Inspecting components and resolving quality issues where necessary
• Using CMM machines to support inspection requirements
• Working to production targets and maintaining high levels of housekeeping
• Adhering to company policies and health and safety requirements

The PersonWe are keen to speak to candidates with the following:

• Experience in EDM is desirable but not essential, as full training is provided
• Background in aerospace manufacturing would be an advantage
• Ability to read engineering drawings
• Confident in using manual measuring equipment for self-inspection
• A strong work ethic with the ability to meet production and quality targets
