Premier Recruitment Group has the privilege to recruit on behalf of our very prestigious client based in Dartford, Kent. We are recruiting for experienced and forward thinking Driver with CPC. This is full time and permanent position and working for very well established company. Very interesting and varied role.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

General:

  • Health, Safety and Welfare of all staff and members of the visiting general public as laid out in the Company Health & Safety Policy.
  • Ensure vehicles maintenance are planned and carried out.
  • Enforce good house-keeping, minimise waste and recycle product where possible.
  • Ensure security of the Companies premises, its contents and its vehicles.

Specific:

  • Responsible for the day-to-day loading and safe delivery and collection of all materials and products as required for the continuous operation of the Company's activities.
  • Takes instructions from the Factory Supervisor on a daily basis and acts upon them without delay.
  • Abide by all Road Traffic Laws and maintain an unendorsed driving licence.
  • Always operate in a professional, fair and courteous manner.
  • Always be contactable and therefore must always travel with a fully charged mobile telephone during the working day.
  • Ensure the vehicle is maintained as per the Company Vehicle Policy.
  • Ensure that they, and any staff assisting them, use PPE as provided, whenever necessary and ensure it is properly maintained and readily available. (e.g. hard hat, boots, gloves, high visibility vest etc).
  • Ensure good house-keeping of the factory forecourt is maintained and report any discrepancies to the Assistant Factory Manager for immediately attention
  • Inspect, maintain and upkeep all strappings etc used to secure loads during transportation. Report any defeats to the Factory Supervisor whenever they become apparent.
  • Assist with loading and unloading of product either of company transport or customer's vehicles.
  • Ensure loads are transported in a safe, responsible manner and never overload the truck.
  • Ensure all reasonable precautions are taken to safeguard the vehicle and it's load.
  • When collecting goods/plant ensure they are as in accordance with the Purchase Order raised. Hand all collection notes to the Assistant Factory Manager on your next arrival to the factory.
  • When no deliveries are required, they will carry out other duties in the factory.
