Driver Trainer

CantelloTayler Recruitment are currently recruiting a Driver Trainer to join our client based in Egham.

This role will design, deliver, evaluate and support the learning and development initiatives for the driver team, ensuring compliance, health and safety and customer service excellence, is the core message at all times.

The successful Driver Trainer will be responsible for:

• Identify the training and development needs of the drivers.
• Design and deliver learning paths, liaising with key stakeholders including the L&D team to ensure that training is consistent.
• Monitor training metrics for compliance.
• Design, implement and review driving assessments to use as part of the recruitment process.
• Plan and review new Driver induction training working with the L&D team.
• Update and brief Safe Working Practice processes and associated documents to drivers including use of the PDA system.
• Perform initial driver assessments.
• Perform annual driver assessments.
• Carry out all H&S and safe systems training; to include loading, deliveries, refuelling, use of tail lifts etc.
• Coaching Driver Team Leaders and Senior Drivers where required.
• Work closely with the Transport Management team to review operational audits, supporting operational compliance as well as ensuring site compliance through training.

The Driver Trainer will have:

• Proven ability to achieve targets and objectives.
• Strong academic background.
• A successful track record within Learning and Development - working across the full training life cycle from training needs analysis to delivery and evaluation.
• Experience in the design and delivery of learning solutions.
• Proven internal stakeholder management experience.
• Excellent communication skills
• Passionate about developing people and be driven to achieve success.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in a multi-site operation
