We are currently seeking a dynamic and dedicated Drama Teacher to join our client school in Sheffield. As a Drama Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the creative and artistic development of our students while fostering a love for drama and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and interactive drama lessons to students of varying ages and abilities.
- Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages students to express themselves creatively and develop their confidence.
- Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
- Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the overall drama curriculum and extracurricular activities.
- Assess student progress regularly through formative and summative assessments, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
- Organise and oversee drama productions, performances, and showcases to showcase students' talents and achievements.
- Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to create a collaborative and supportive community within the school.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Drama, Performing Arts, or a related field.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching certification.
- Proven experience teaching drama at the primary or secondary level.
- Strong knowledge of drama theory, techniques, and practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
- Passion for drama education and a genuine interest in the well-being and development of students.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential.
