Domestic Gas Supervisor - Zenith People LTD : Job Details

Zenith People are working with their client who have an exciting opportunity for a Domestic Gas Supervisor to join their team on a permanent basis.

As a Supervisor you will be working closely with the contracts manager and directors to improve and expand a domestic sector to ensure best in class contract delivery for all clients.

Job description:

• Managing a small, highly professional team of domestic gas engineers and operational staff, with responsibility for driving their performance and development.
• To drive the effective management and delivery of gas compliance, installation, repair services.
• Dealing with day-to-day engineer's enquiries from gas engineers.
• Provide technical support to gas engineers over the phone when required.
• Mentoring and coaching the team of engineers including newly qualified engineers.
• Delivering tool box talks.
• Working closely with the administration team supporting with operational queries and customer complaints.
• On site visits with engineers if required.
• Building strong relationships with the client and acting as first point of contact.
• Conducting return to work interviews.
• Checking and approving engineer's worksheets.
• Scrutinising works and ensure all jobs are invoiced as appropriate.
• Investigate internal/external audits failures.
• Ensuring correct parts are ordered.
• Updating OOH rota.
• Job costing and sending referrals to clients.
• Training and recruitment strategy.

Person specification:

• Must come from a Domestic Gas background.
• Have experience of managing/supervising a small team of engineers.
• Strong communication skills.
• Good time management and prioritisation skills.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety within the workplace.
• Knowledge of British Standards, Gas Safe and HSE standards.
• Must have a valid UK driving license.
