Exciting opportunity for a Director Subscription Finance with a leading Corporate & Investment Bank in London
The Bank is looking for a Director to join its Subscription Finance team. This individual will be responsible for the origination, structuring, negotiation, execution, and ongoing management of EMEA subscription finance transactions, including related fund-level products such as hybrid fund financing, foreign exchange, and derivatives.
Key competencies include:
- Communication: Demonstrates strong communication and relationship-building skills. Works proactively and collaboratively across departments with minimal supervision.
- Execution: Possesses deep technical knowledge and experience in the fund finance market. Manages closing processes, coordinates with internal and external stakeholders, and resolves complex issues.
- Credit: Brings strong credit risk and quantitative skills, with experience in standard legal documentation. Capable of presenting credit and commercial rationale to senior stakeholders.
Business Area
This Director-level position is part of the EMEA Subscription Finance Team, which sits within the Specialised Products Department. This department also includes Leverage Finance, Structured Real Estate Finance, and NAV Finance teams.
The Subscription Finance team is integrated into a Global Fund Finance Solutions platform, with centralised functions based in New York. The EMEA team collaborates closely with colleagues in the US and APAC to deliver cross-regional solutions for global clients.
Position Responsibilities
- Reports to the Managing Director, Subscription Finance EMEA
- Leads the origination, structuring, negotiation, execution, and management of subscription finance transactions across EMEA
- Partners with a high-performing team to identify and arrange new business opportunities
- Drives business growth and strengthens relationships with sponsor clients
- Develops fund-level business activities and oversees strategic initiatives
- Acts as deal team leader, supervising junior team members and ensuring high-quality execution
- Builds and maintains strong client and internal relationships to support business development
- Identifies and mitigates risk within the portfolio, providing timely updates on key developments
Profile

1. Experience & Expertise
- Significant experience in subscription finance and broader fund finance markets.
- Proven track record in origination, structuring, negotiation, and execution of complex transactions.
- Strong understanding of hybrid fund financing, FX, and derivatives products.
- Experience working in a global banking environment, ideally across EMEA, US, and APAC regions.

- Deep knowledge of credit risk assessment, financial modelling, and transaction structuring.
