Overview

A leading Investment Management firm is seeking an experienced Investor Relations professional to join a dynamic team based in Central London. The ideal candidate will have demonstrable fundraising and leadership experience, be a self-starter, and possess strong quantitative, communication, and organisational skills. They should also be polished, highly professional, and able to engage confidently with a broad range of global institutional investors.

Responsibilities

Fundraising

  • Identify and engage prospective investors through targeted outreach (calls and emails), drive them through the funnel, and secure commitments for current and future fundraising efforts
  • Manage follow-up from investor interactions to ensure clear next steps and timely execution
  • Support the development and maintenance of a robust pipeline of prospective LP relationships in line with the firm's long-term fundraising strategy
  • Collaborate with the Head of IR and the Partners on fundraising strategy, messaging, and execution
  • Liaise with existing placement agents to ensure best practices are applied, and support identification and onboarding of agents in underrepresented geographies
  • Maintain and update the CRM system regularly, ensuring all investor meeting notes, follow-ups, and the next steps are accurately recorded and integrated into the fund's closing planner
  • Track and consolidate new investor questions and draft consistent, well-structured responses for internal use
  • Contribute to the preparation and updating of investor materials and fund marketing documentation
  • Assist in the development and ongoing management of a 12-month events and conference calendar, including rationale, staffing, and participation
  • Represent the firm at select industry conferences and events
  • Support the redrafting and improvement of internal tools to enhance their functionality

Requirements

  • Self-motivated, analytical, and enthusiastic team player with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
  • Minimum of 7 year's experience in a relevant professional environment with proven and demonstrable experience in sales and marketing, ideally within private markets or alternative investments
  • Exceptional interpersonal, presentation, and influencing skills, with confidence engaging senior stakeholders and institutional investors
  • Comfortable operating in an ambitious, entrepreneurial, and international environment
  • Professional fluency in at least two languages is strongly preferred; fluency in a third language is a plus
  • Experience living or working in multicultural environments is highly desirable but not necessary
